Personal model
This instrument was made with the help and experience of cellist Mattia Zappa.
The tuning fork and sound box measurements are in line with standard 4/4 cello measurements, however, the neck, sound box thicknesses and peg box are adapted, as well as the bridge and tailpiece are custom-built.
The 5-string Cello can be used to interpret as faithfully and naturally as possible repertoire such as:
- J. S. Bach’s Sixth Suite (small cello)
- F. Schubert’s Arpeggione Sonata (harpeggione)
- J. S. Bach’s 3 Gambensonaten (viola da gamba)
- Concertos of K. Ph. E. Bach
- And explore a whole new Bachian violin repertoire (Mario Brunello project).
